This blog is going to be a little different than the others of i’ve written so far. I just want to take a second to write down a core memory. This one is more for me to look back at when i need to remember a really really just great night from the Lord.

Have you ever had one of those memories even in the middle of it, you know just how special it is? Follow up question, have you ever had the blessing of God just filling you up? 

Well tonight, in Nicaragua our squad got poured down on and filled up, and wow was it just the Lord. 

When i say poured, i mean literally. He really opened up the skies, it was raining sideways. Some of the team got stuck in the rain, so we thought why not take advantage and just play in the rain! We played hard- we did our squad dance again!! (that we won 2nd place in squad wars with), we wrestled in the mud some, danced, played tag, and best of all we’re just were all filled with such joy. The Lord really just blessed us with a storm, which sounds weird to say but WOW. I just can’t stop thanking the Lord. 

Sometimes storms come in your life to just shake things up, not necessarily destroy anything.  

         This week i’ve been struggling a lot. I have a really difficult week I’m going to be walking into next week too (please keep me in your prayers), and so I was just kinda feeling the weight of things. I’ve been having a really hard time with just knowing if the Lord sees me.

 Not even 3 hours before this ‘storm of joy’, i was just sitting and watching the sky and asking God over and over ‘do you see me?’ Can you see your servant is feeling weary and empty? I even had a long conversation with one of my team mates about how I really just need to feel His love for me in a really real way. 

Let me tell you, i KNOW He heard me because i said ‘I was feeling empty’ and wow, did He just pour out into me. I feel like I’m over flowing!! So ready to go into my battle next week; not as a weary servant but a overflowing daughter of the King. 

He will fill you if you ask, so ask!!!! Why wouldn’t you want the joy of the Lord in you!?!!
